Poured fondant is made by mixing the ingredients together over boiling water. Fondant is usually used in order to make an extra smooth finish to a cake or for making shapes. The use of fondant allows for there to be many more options in decorating cakes. Fondant can make a cake look exorbitantly more elegant. Each type of icing has special uses to create amazing designs.
