This always made him laugh and pick them up in his giant hands to show them all the different lands they had to run around in. The mice, with their twitchy whiskers and their pelts as brown as bark, could often be found hiding in the Sun’s curls. They dangled near his ears and whispered secrets about the earth from their perspective beneath the underbrush. Some days the Sun would even lazily walk along the ocean shores, staring out into the dark water and grinning as all the seas creatures would jump into the air to show off their skills.
