The research will be done through a variety of methods and investigated from several different viewpoints. These viewpoints will consist of the regulators, the student pilots, the instructors, and the flight training unit. To ensure each area is explored thoroughly, both primary and secondary research will be gathered to ensure a wide but still manageable spectrum of opinions. We will use qualitative research to gain a deeper understanding of the underlying traits and motives that the current system has brought and will further our knowledge on the topic area. To accomplish our qualitative research, we will be using interviews, case studies and observations. between qualitative and quantitative goes far beyond that of whether or not numbers are being implemented during the process of recording data; qualitative researchers can use numbers to label and categorize objects. The conventional view is that the qualitative researcher finds their observations to be more descriptive and contextually dependent, while the quantitative researcher is allowed to make predictions and deductive inferences while assuming that their findings can be generalized.…

Although both qualitative and quantitative research methods prove to be effective approaches in conducting social research, each of these methods also have faults that can steer research towards one method over another.
