Additionally, I desire to address the importance of self-care and hope to investigate why our generation is experiencing an awakening and awareness towards the benefits of alternative healing practices, such as meditation, relaxation and good nutrition. I will address the problem with our “pill popping” culture and why our constant use of medication for momentary relief is over used and may cause more damage than curing in the long run.
