Reserve Component 68W Sustainment The Army Reserve Component (RC) is, in general, required to meet the same training requirements of the Active Component (AC) but must do so with less time available. The RC must also be proficient in their Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) and remain qualified for those MOSs. Due to a lack of the necessary required training days needed to meet obligatory sustainment mandates, the RC is not as welled trained or proficient as they could be.
