This has been a thorny issue since the whole motion was started to let women join the combat related units like infantry, field artillery, and ranger units. Questions have been raised on how they will be able to perform in these areas as they require a lot of body strength which many people believe women do not possess. All of the combat units has been strictly reserved for men .Women had a limited roles and combat restrictions, but they have served in combat zones, often under fire, but restrictions from officially holding combat positions, including in the infantry, which remain crucial to career advancement. Women have long served as line medics attached to infantry units and have supported them during their patrols in combat zones
