  • Personal Narrative: High School Musical

My first musical done through my high school, ironically being “High School Musical”, was a meaningful event in my life and has no doubt made an impact on my life. I have made many good friends through the theatre department, and spending everyday with the cast and crew helped me further understand them and how they each think, which will help me become an outstanding citizen on campus because I will be able to help others when in need. Besides the other actors in the show, “High School Musical” solidified my prediction that I wanted to pursue acting as a serious career for my life. Outside of school, I had been a part of a few acting experiences, mainly just a few extra roles in upcoming films, and they were all really fun, however, the way I was able to finally see how an audience would react to my acting enthralled me. Whilst the show was loads of fun, it wasn’t always such a simple, lighthearted extracurricular. It was difficult to find the necessary balance between my academic work and the show, however, after a while, I was able to pull my grades up and focus on both of them, with my main focus being on my grades. This experience helped me realize that I must put all of my effort into everything I do in life in order for my future to be as grandiose as I hope it to be. If I hadn’t put all of my effort into both my schoolwork and the show, my grades would’ve drastically fallen and the show would’ve demolished.…

  • Personal Narrative: High School Musical Movies

jerk back in Junior High. I was home schooled so I wasn 't used to socializing outside of the family. I decided to use the "High School Musical" movies as my guide. I know, the stupidity of a 14-year-old girl is amazing! Anyway, back in 8th grade that began changing. The change started in a small windowless room. The air was stale and reeked of cheap perfume. Most of the class was relaxing, chatting with each other near the door and waiting for the bell to ring for lunch. However, on the other…

  • Personal Narrative: My Freshman Year In High School

Like a river, high school has been a winding journey for me. Sometimes I am not sure what is around the bend. With each bend change happens within me when I allow it to. My mom once said, sometimes you have to give up to get up. The river started off nice, calm, and welcoming and then the water started to pick up the pace. I have changed as a person and have matured more through the raging waters and rapids than the calm of my freshmen year. Going into my Freshman year I had some high…

  • High School Narrative

Waking up before the sun on the first day of high school, I pictured myself walking into heaven. No more jail-like school uniforms that I’ve been stuck with since kindergarten, overly handsome varsity athletes everywhere, popular cliques that all the dorks -like myself-looked up to, and freedom. Freedom from being treated like a baby. I was practically grown. At least that is what I thought; it was only the beginning. I felt as if I was living the dream, and then I actually stepped on campus.…

  • Personal Narrative: Dreaming Big

a dreamer. I fantasized about everything under the sun. Imagining clouds tasting like cotton candy and pet tigers on aureate leashes. I would also dream “realistically” about starring in High School Musical, becoming an international Pop Star like Beyoncé, or having a private limo. Needless to say, I have a lot of hope and imagination (sometimes a bit too much). I’ve always had it, and that is why my strength is my weakness. I struggle with not having enough drive and motivation to do…

heavy bass. Only in the summertime while driving with the windows down will I turn on the country music station. I am very conscious in my choice of music, and I will often aggravate my friends by skipping through one hundred songs until I find the perfect one that fits my mood. I will spend longer searching for the music I want to hear than I do actually listening to it. A key component of music that I look for when choosing a song is a strong melody, as strong melodies are easier to harmonize…
