We all want to be in a relationship and go to college, but sometimes they both don’t reach our wants and needs. N.b Grace illustrates how we can make this work in a book called High School Musical 3: Senior Year. She describes in the book of how Troy and Gabriella have to cope with not being together as they go off to college. We all know how it is to have a worry in the back of our head, and that was Troy and Gabriella's worry. It was like that for them thinking about their future lives and their future lives together. The other wildcats are a part of a spring musical where they can introduce their future, face their fears, and have fun while singing throughout the whole book. Grace demonstrate how Troy and Gabriella can overcome the obstacle of not being together going off to college, this relates to the theme by saying that life priorities is more important than trying to pursue a high school relationship. …show more content…
They still loved each other to the bone but something wasn’t there with them to such as them spending their lives together. As described in the theme sometimes life priorities get in the way of what you have to do. Like Troy got accepted to Juilliard but never signed up for it. Then Gabriella informed Taylor that The Stanford Freshman Honors Program offered her to come check them out, Sharpay told Troy that he is the the only thing holding Gabriella back from her dreams. Sharpay overhears Gabriella and Taylor talking but she is very jealous of their relationship. Troy goes to see Gabrielle at her house to talk about it and they have a very sad moment, then the next day she leaves for college after that night. “Why do you keep saying, “goodbye”.” (Grace

    Northern Light Assignment

The novel I chose for this assignment was A Northern Light, written by Jennifer Donnelly. Overall, I would say I enjoyed this read, my favorite part of this novel was following the relationships between the main character, Matilda or kindly referred to as Mattie with her father, her town, and her friends. I would recommend this novel to readers who enjoys a romantic storyline based off a true events and/or enjoys reading about crime. A Northern Light, follows the life of Mattie Gokey and her struggle to decide what she should do with her life. The main struggle she faces is the decision to go to college, which would be a first in her family, or to stay at home and fill in the role of her late mother.…

Walking through the halls of high school I notice the behavior of some of the students. People mature differently, some may need more time while others will not. Few have the capability of graduating and leaving high school early and beginning life in what Leon Botstein, the president of Bard College, calls "the real world" (154). A high school student will graduate at age 18 after going through elementary, middle, and high school for four years, this system gives students a chance to attain knowledge in several subjects, find their interests, and to mature.…

If I were to put Homer’s The Odyssey into a feature film the theme of the film would be a young high school freshmen trying desperately to get over the heartbreak of her last relationship. She had a boyfriend of two years and found that he was cheating on her at a party on their two year anniversary. She thankfully has her two best friends to help her through the obstacles that are just the after effects of her heart break and that will finally get her back on her feet. The reasons to why you should make The Odyssey into this type of feature film is that it is based on modern day problems of a teenage girl so it is more exciting, but still in the perspective of Homer's The Odyssey.…

This song belongs on my life soundtrack because I’ve always been raised to be humble, kind, and show respect. This song reminds me of my younger childhood where my mother would take me to church, visit my grandparents and spend time with family. This song describes me because I’ve always been kind, humble, and respectful to everyone or at least I try to be most of the time. My favorite parts of the song are where he sings about going to church with your mother, and visiting your grandparents. I also love where it goes don’t steal, cheat, and don’t lie.…

The character that I critically analyzed is Troy Bolton, from the High School Musical franchise. Troy is portrayed as the high school hunk, as he is the captain of the basketball team, a heartthrob that the girls admire and want to be with, and an idol to the other boys who strive to be as cool as him. Not only is Troy represented as a teenage jock, but he also has a passion for performing in musicals, which contrasts and contradicts many of the theories we have studied in this course. Troy’s character can be effectively analyzed using Pierre Bourdieu’s Cultural Deprivation Theory, and Becky Francis’ Gender Gap Theory. Pierre Bourdieu’s cultural deprivation theory explains how the way individuals are raised, and the values learned from your family, shapes your taste as you age.…

Lee’s works have been proven to be innovative in the sense that it covers most, if not all of the issues that arise in the black community. This statement is evident especially when he created one of my favorite films, Crooklyn. This is a film that goes into the “ideal” life of African Americans in the seventies. The most important idea to notice in this film is feminism. Feminism is so broad and shown in narrower topics that relate to it in this dramatic work.…
