    Judy Hopps

One day in Zootopia, Judy Hopps was tracking a rogue chameleon. The color changing animal had been stealing ties from Billy, a goat who owned a suit store. It was a sunny day in the city, with predators and prey walking together in the streets. Suddenly, a thundering boom sounded all across Zootopia. A strange pod had appeared in the town square! Out of it came large creatures with no fur or feathers. These, of course, were humans. There were ten of them, standing tall above the citizens of Zootopia. They were some of the members of the Suicide Squad, although Judy Hopps did not know it. The strange pod was actually a time and space machine. The Suicide Squad had traveled to the wrong place! Next to the time machine, a gap opened. Batman and Wonder Woman flew out of the crack! Then, the Flash followed them, carrying a trampoline. “Stop right there!” commanded Batman. The Flash skidded to a halt, “Why?” “Not you. Stop the Joker, Flash!” Meanwhile, Wonder Woman had used her lasso of truth to stop Harley Quinn. It seemed that after escaping from prison, The Joker and Harley Quinn had picked up minor criminals from cities around America. Batman knocked down some of the remaining thieves as they fled for safety. They had been promised a spot in the new world after the Joker’s plan was completed. They did not sign up to fight three superheroes. The Joker had ordered them to set a simple trap of water on the ground. The Flash slipped in the puddle and the Joker joined the criminals…

come with amazement at this movie that came out to good reviews but, sadly, didn 't gross highly or get much talk from the public. The End of the Tour is a film by James Ponsoldt that puts to life the real five day interview done by David Lipsky on David Foster Wallace, a writer who had just released his new critically acclaimed book, Infinite Jest. The lens I am looking at and conversation I am joining involves postmodernism and post-postmodernism and their relation to the movie I chose and art…

    Should There Be Infinite

    • 955 Words

To the best of our knowledge, humans are the only creatures on earth that are able to contemplate infinity. We commonly talk about the infinite universe (which cosmologists now tell us is almost certainly finite but unbounded), we speak of infinite number series, such as the set of even numbers, and we use it metaphorically, as in saying someone has “infinite patience.” Time itself is spoken of as infinite, though it is always tied to finite objects which are changing and we can 't even come…

Jim Scatterfield was quoted saying “misinformation in a crisis can be its own disaster and increase confusion” (“How” 3). Sometimes, information being reported can be misleading because it was posted too soon or it is just simply incorrect. Social media can also cause a harm to the country as a whole from terrorist groups. Mantel confirms that “[terrorists] find the internet appealing for the same reasons as everyone else does: it is cheap, easily accessible, unregulated, and reaches a…

laugh at the ridiculousness of it all without feeling jealous or demoralized by the wealth portrayed. This show portrays a lifestyle that audiences are entertained by, but it is not realistic enough to judge through a critical lens for the average viewer. In contrast, another article discusses how viewer’s perceptions of the show changed after the financial crisis hit in 2008, a year after the show premiered. This article references the New York Magazine article I examined above when it states…

job setting. A crisis can be defined in many ways. According to Kanel (2014), a crisis is a state of disequilibrium that occurs after a stressor (precipitating event). The person is then unable to function in one or more areas of his or her life because customary coping mechanisms have failed. An example of a crisis that I recently dealt with was with one of the students I currently work with. He lost his mother on October 31st a few years ago. At the beginning of October he typically begins to…
