Many do believe that “Alternative fuels and electric vehicles will play an integral part in the future of America’s transportation system…” (Magill). So not only will our future cars be driverless but they will also aid in climate control, which is a big discussion for the world today. The usage of electric cars will continue to grow because of the continued support and promotion of electric cars. People cannot turn the corner and see and electric car charging station like they can see a gas station but that will be different very soon. The federal government has started incorporating more charging stations along 25,000 miles of U.S. highways. This encourages and makes it possible for more people to make the switch to electric cars. When more people transition to electric cars more charging stations will be needed and the cycle will continue to flow and grow. The next ten or so years for cars are gonna be the years with some of the biggest upgrades and advancements. Even some of the craziest car ideas are already being developed today. We can predict the future quite easily because, “the cars of the not-so-distant future are being made today” (Kalogianni). If we look back just a couple years we can already see the big differences between cars then and now.
