    On the morning of December 26, 1996, in Boulder, Colorado life as the Ramsey family knew it would be changed forever (Ng 1). When Patsy Ramsey woke, she found a rather long letter lying on the bottom step of her staircase informing her that her six-year-old daughter, JonBenet, had been kidnapped (JonBenet Ramsey Biography 1). The JonBenet case had the media turned against the Ramsey family in a time of grief, when in reality because of the media's impact on the exposure of JonBenet´s pageants, she was subjected to predators. JonBenet Ramsey was a six-year-old beauty pageant queen who was admired for her charming looks and dashing performances (Conrad 1). Her violent death had taken America by surprise and had an impact on the way people view pageants today. Once the police had arrived, the hunt for the young beauty queen began, the police suggested that Mr. Ramsey should search the house for any stolen items (JonBenet Ramsey Biography 1).
