chocolate cake, they will continue to like chocolate cake because they remember liking it in the past and they associate the cake with good times. From then on, the memory of chocolate cake will power them to continue enjoying it when given, unless another memory that is negative changes the person’s mind. In a study done by, yet again, Elizabeth Loftus, subjects filled out a questionnaire about eating habits, and then were told that through an algorithm it was discovered that at some point in their lives, they had become sick because of dill pickles or hard boiled eggs (it depended on the participant). After implanting the memory with the help of some leading questions much like in the mall experiment, a picnic was prepared. In the picnic, subjects who now believed they had once been sick because of pickles avoided the pickles. Those who now remembered being sick because of hard-boiled eggs didn’t want the hard-boiled eggs present at the picnic. These people were influenced by their false memories in the same way as they would be by their real memories. This proves that false memories aren’t just some small, insignificant party tricks, they can have very important effects on the subject’s life. Although this experiment only changes a person’s food perspectives, it can be applied to causes with much more impact on a person’s life and the decisions that they make.(Loftus, 2003) False memories can seem innocent, like a party trick, as described earlier. Chicken!” Shouted Mr. Person above the roar of clapping hands. The elephant angrily stomped up to the podium, grabbed his trophy, and either accidentally or purposely crushed it. After he had thrown the remains of it on the floor, he glared at each judge in turn, and then stocked out the door. “OK”, said Mr. Person, “the next trophy goes to … Mrs. Kangaroo!” Her face was expressionless as someone took the trophy and put it beside her. “ That means” continued Mr. Person, “ that the first place…

The purpose of this experiment was to explore the vast applications of eggs. Eggs are used as foams, binders, thickeners, and emulsifiers. A key ingredient in every American household, fragile eggs do not belong in the brutal and cold war over Russia. As I read the summary on the back of the book I was more than somewhat confused. Confused to why in the world could the author write any important piece of literature centered on a search for these meaningless eggs for a meaningless cake at an meaningless wedding?” The whole idea of the book just seemed ridiculous and silly to me. Why eggs? Why would the author choose to write a book…

I refer to the case of Hampton Creek, and their product “Just Mayo.” To the average consumer, this product may seem to be another brand of mayonnaise, when in fact it is not. This is misleading to consumers. The…

too much mayo. Now, who is to blame in this scenario: the staff member who followed regulations or Corporate Management which set the amount of mayo to be mixed in with the tuna? If you guessed the former, then you are WRONG. I have worked in fast food and in the chaotic environment of a hospital. Both places taught me that staff members are not responsible for every little thing that goes wrong. While I know that they will NEVER admit it, the Powers That Be always have some blame. Another…
