    they noticed that I had a pressure ulcer the size of Kim Kardashian badonkadonk. With no apology for ignoring my pain about the ulcer, they just jumped right into surgery. Plates inserted into my leg on both bones and I was stitched up and sent home. After being at home for about a month, I noticed that around my incisions there was some blistering and redness. In a panic, we went to the local emergency room and got it checked out and the doctor there was truly blunt, and stated, “I am going to be honest, if he would have come here with that injury I would have sent him to salt lake or Denver, not because I don’t think I could be able to take care of it, but because I would hate to be the guy who thinks he can and then gets caught in the operating room with his pants down.” When I heard the doctor saying this I realized my case was bad. Through a series of connections I was able to get ahold of Tandy Freemen who is the head doctor of the Justin Sports Medicine Team, who travels around with all the rodeo cowboys fixing their injuries. Doctor Tandy Freemen saw a picture of my injury, which we sent him, and stated “You need to get somewhere IMMEDIATELY!” He sent me to a specialist out of Denver. When I arrived in Denver, I met with the doctor there and he broke the news to me that I had a really bad case of staph infection. My doctor set my mom and I down and informed us that I had roughly a 97% chance of losing my leg due to the infection. As this set in, I realized that my…
