same river going uphill and downhill which would technically be illogical. Some also say that the earth must be flat to allow the rain to fall. On the other hand, there’s people who strongly believe that the earth is not flat. Religion doesn’t have much of a role here. They say that it cannot be flat because ships disappear from the horizon. Ships do not just “appear” or “disappear” out of the horizon (like they should have if the world was flat). They emerge from beneath the sea. This clearly proves that the earth is an ellipsoid because ships do not go underneath the water. Aristotle noticed that during lunar eclipses, the shadow on the Moon’s surface is round. This shadow is the Earth’s, and it’s a great clue on the ellipsoidal shape of the Earth. Since the earth is rotating, the consistent oval-shadow it produces in each lunar eclipse proves that the earth is not flat. But some people who believe that the earth is flat also believe that the sun and the moon don’t move. They might have some other explanation that has something to do with God (or Gods) on why the shadow is shaped like that. After returning from a trip to Egypt, Aristotle noted that there were stars in Egypt and Cyprus which were not visible in the northerly regions. This can only be explained with a round surface, and Aristotle continued and claimed that the sphere of the Earth is “of no great size, for otherwise the effect of so slight a change of place would not be quickly…

Water in a lunar eclipse is a very abnormal factor. Seeing as most water is frozen, discovering it in a liquid form would be a miracle, but it is a crucial part of survival. Collecting water is not the issue, the main problem lies with making it drinkable. A water barrel with a filter is recommended, though it rains only once a week. It wouldn’t work well if the water was in a barrel outside because that would freeze. So instead, after your water has been collected, bring the barrel inside so it…

think it was only appropriate that I chose to write my report over the red blood/super moon/solar eclipse that took place last night. My paper will discuss that the three most basic questions I had about the unique moon, how I found the answers, and my overall final thoughts. After reading chapter 3 from the Horizon’s textbook, I thought the section covering moon cycles was the most intriguing.…

Most of the story takes place in Forks, Washington, Bella and Edward’s new cottage in the woods, and Isle Esme, which is Bella and Edward’s honeymoon spot. The story doesn’t give a specific time date, but it most likely takes place during present time. Bella Swan is 18 years old in this book of the series and was 18 years old when she was turned and…
