Diamagnetism can make levitation possible. How? Diamagnetic materials are repelled by magnetic fields. The most diamagnetic materials are graphite and bismuth. Technically, everything is diamagnetic but the force of it is very weak. Diamagnetism is present in everything, but is only observable if other types of magnetism, such as paramagnetism, ferromagnetism, ferrimagnetism, antiferromagnetism, etc. do not overwhelm it. Most of the time, diamagnetic materials’ effect is very weak. Levitating humans are possible with this, since we are mostly water and water is diamagnetic, but the magnetic forces required would be enormous due to the relatively weak force of repulsion. Overall, diamagnetism sounds pretty awesome, right? Well, it’s a lot…

electromechanical device. The electromagnets are magnets controlled by electricity and the electrical current makes a magnetic field. They use negative and positive poles to make the magnetic fields. Some soft magnetic metals can be strengthened or weaken by how much electret is flowing to electromagnet. The magnets they can use the flow from a battery into a negative thermal and that’s another way it could make a magnetic field. Some uses of electromagnets is that they can become a…

studies were carried out at room temperature on pure HA and La3+/Sr2+ co-doped HA nanoparticles in vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The hysteresis curves of both samples have been portrayed in Fig. 7 (a) - (b). As expected, it was found pure HA sample excluded magnetic properties (i.e diamagnetic behavior) and La0.1Sr0.1HA nanoparticles exhibited weak ferromagnetic ordering of hysteresis loop Fig. 7(b). The magnetization values are mainly depending on the charge state of the doped element…

Research Question: What is the effect of the properties of a mixture on the methods of separation and the mass of each substance that is obtained after separation? Background Research: What is a mixture: The reason for the chosen methods: Water is able to dissolve salt because the water molecules (H2O) attracts the sodium(Na) and chloride(Cl-) ions. Hypothesis: If we use a magnet to separate the iron from the mixture we will only extract the iron from the mixture because nothing else in…
