Imagine: you’re in your house, doing homework, when the ground suddenly jerks beneath your feet. With a second pitch your chair lerchs, chucking you into the air. You hit the ground hard then crawl underneath the table grabbing hold of the legs as ground continues to jerk. What you just experienced was an earthquake. There is often no warning and extensive damage. In 2005 my grandma, who lives in California, was in her apartment when one occurred. Though no serious damage where she lived, however roads cracked, and buildings collapsed and people were trapped nearer to the cause of the earthquake. This is not unusual, but still my grandma was lucky; now without further ado, the story of the earthquake. Nothing had seemed unusual before one of my dogs, Shatz, started.....growling. I had been going about my day like usual, went out to work, stayed for a several hours, then came home relaxed for a while. After that I got up and started to work around the house for a bit. At one point my other dog was taken outside because he had urgent business to take care of. That’s when the growl began. Shatz started making odd noises I had never heard her make before, they sounded a growl but deep and low, as if they were forming from deep within her gullet tried to make her stop but she just kept it up. Suddenly a wave of acute dizziness crashed over me like a tidal wave, surprising, disorienting, and with little warning. I began to stumble to the living room to go lay down on the couch.…

audience to see this as pathetic. The content of the shot is interesting because he is in an enormous shower, signifying that he does have material possessions but his sexual life is inadequate. The scene with the masturbation is then quickly juxtapositioned to one with vibrant red rose, that is clipped by Lester’s wife Elaine. Certainly clipping the rose should not be seen as accident. The vibrant red rose is stark contrast to the boring vanilla blandness of Lester’s bedroom and…

So it was about three weeks before Spring Break and I had to make up my mind about what I was to do because I didn’t want to be cooped up in the house like I do annually anyways. My cousin Josiah had opened that opportunity up for me. He had asked me if I wanted to go to New York with him over the Spring Break and meet my other family. At first, I paid him no mind because I thought he was buffing until his mom called me and asked if I was coming or not. She told me that if I was coming, have my…
