people will automatically say the Electric guitar is the better choice for a beginner to learn on simply because it is thought to be the easiest to learn. Although that is true for the most part I say that the acoustic guitar is the better choice to be made. With learning on an acoustic the beginner will build up more strength in their fingers and hands. They will work harder to press down the strings with the Acoustic, unlike the Electric where it is easier to press down on the strings. All though there are many positives about the Electric guitar, the Acoustic is the way to go when you are first starting out on learning how to play the guitar, because it is more accessible. For a beginner it’s important for them to know what to expect with both of the types of guitars. Then comes in the price they are willing to spend on a good guitar, and of course what brand. Brands like Taylor, Martin, Epiphone, Fender, Yamaha, Gibson, Ibanez, PRS, Washburn, Luna and many more. Their determination to learn and their dedication to keep on playing is important. It was warm, humid and cloudy on the day of our Jack Johnson concert. Despite the warmth, it was a perfect day to be outside and sitting on the lawn at the DTE Music Center to enjoy some relaxing tunes. He plays an acoustic electric guitar, but his guitar playing skills are nowhere near as good as his writing skills. He plays basic guitar chords,…
