My entire life I have been told that money is the root of all evil and it is bad to want money or to strive to have money in life. I was raised that I should not desire to have lots of money and that it was better for me and my family to struggle than to live comfortably with a good income. I can see now that it is okay to work to make a good living and to provide for my family. However, it is when the love of money takes over for the love of God so again, we are reminded that the act of loving money is bad and that money is not evil or sinful. There are many good and selfless actions we can use money for. Not only can we provide a stable home for our families and keep them warm and fed. We can share our wealth with others that are in need. This action is pleasing to the lord. We are expected to give to the church which is called tithing. We are expected to help and take care of widows and orphans. (KJV). So, if money was sinful and evil God would not want us to give to the church or to donate money to help others in need.
