great feeling. When showing your talents you always want to show your skills as good as possible. I believe everyone has a talent that they have practiced to master or they were good at it since the first day one. I have a talent that I was horrible at when I started at, But then I gave it my best to improve and I succeeded more than I thought I would, I has passed the typing speed I thought I would never get. My goal when I was a little kid was to be a fast typist. When I got to 7th grade, the first class I chose was computer applications because typing looked fun. I was good at following the instructions, but I was very slow at typing. At the beginning of the year there were many students racing and were already around the 30 words per minute (wpm) mark, while my maximum typing speed at the time was 14 wpm. I was usually the student that finished all his assignments last due to very slow typing speed. Back at 7th grade I wanted speed everything, I ran fast during the mile because I liked going fast, I liked finishing my homework fast. And I liked getting to my house fast after school. I still have the habit of walking fast home anyway. So, when I couldn’t type fast and finish my assignments I was embarrassed and ashamed of myself so I decided to practice at home as much as I could. During the computer applications class one of the faster students asked me for a pen because he forgot his, I let him borrow mine, then he lost it. I was and still am a loner, but…

Since we are starting at the end of fourth grade level Austin should be able to read 140 words per minute and at the end fifth grade be up to 160 words per minute. Obviously that would be too high of an expectation at the end of fifth grade to go up by 60 words per minute. I would call it a therapeutic succeed if Austin were at least at 140 words per minute by the end of fifth grade, which would only make him one year behind. I would call it an experimental success if Austin reached at least…
