The Type Racer Showing your true talents at school is a great feeling. When showing your talents you always want to show your skills as good as possible. I believe everyone has a talent that they have practiced to master or they were good at it since the first day one. I have a talent that I was horrible at when I started at, But then I gave it my best to improve and I succeeded more than I thought I would, I has passed the typing speed I thought I would never get. My goal when I was a little kid was to be a fast typist. When I got to 7th grade, the first class I chose was computer applications because typing looked fun. I was good at following the instructions, but I was very slow at typing. At the beginning of the year there were many students racing and were already …show more content…
There are many reasons why people like a subject. There are also many different ways that the subject they like influences the way they see life. My favorite subject is Math and it has influenced me in many ways. The main reason I like math is because many people dislike it, I am very good at math and many people don’t like it because they are not good at math. I like being good at something not too many people are good at because I can feel like I excel in that subject. Everybody likes feeling like they are the best at something. Math has influenced me to get a job in accounting, my family has seen my grades and test scores on my math tests and they always say I should be an accountant. I never disagreed with them because that always did sound like a good idea. This math accounting idea made me want to join the accounting class but it was full by the time I got a chance to switch into that class. I tried to join the class years ago but it said I needed to be the age of 16 or higher, which I just barely turned 16 during my junior

Finite Simple Group (of Order Two) by the Klein Four Group, a very talented group of mathematicians including my friend Scott Bailey, is a funny mathematical love song that is special to me as I sang this song to my wife for my marriage proposal. In the lyrics to the song, it states that “but lately our relation’s not so well-defined, and I just can’t function without you.” “relation”, “well-defined” and “function” are important concepts in algebra, but also have a clear meaning in real-life. Mathematicians, contrary to popular belief, can be funny and interesting. I was born and raised in a family with a deep tradition to study mathematics. My grandfather was the dean of the math department at the University of Science and Technology in…

One, two, three, four, five, and the list goes on. I had a notebook in the third grade in which I would write numbers from one and beyond. Unfortunately that list was never finished; the fact that one could begin to write numbers from the day they were born to the day they would die and would not even be close to infinity is both scary and fascinating to me. This blew my eight year old mind. It sparked this passion in me to expand my knowledge of numbers, how they work and why they worked.…

My childhood memories regarding learning mathematics has been for the most part positive from 6th grade onwards. From 1st grade to 5th grade I was not conscientious so at times math tests produced anxiety but math was, at the same time, easier and simpler back then. I recall being the fastest person to state the multiplication tables in 4th grade. During 6th to 8th grade, although I was not necessarily the smartest, I landed at the top of the class in advance math since I was very hard working. However in 9th grade I recalled a horrific incident.…
