    The lake seemed to stretch on forever as if the mountain was slowly draining into it and creating perfect copy of itself. Halfway across the world from my home in Massachusetts, the wilderness of New Zealand reached out to me. The hours before had been full of adventure as my father and I had trekked to both the Fox and Franz Josef glaciers.
