The salaries have gone up as well for coaches. At a Division I level assistant coaches are annually in taking salaries in the millions. That is preposterous when compared to the amount that the college athlete makes; $0 (Conclusion What It). A head coach will earn on average $2 million per year and that number is growing. The pay for a head coach has increased 750% since 1984 to present time (Should College Athletes). Implemented in 2014, the NCAA will host a BCS playoff series for college football. The playoff will consist of the top 4 teams in the country competing in 2 semi-final games and furthermore crowning the real champ.
