  • Argumentative Essay: Do Giants Exist?

common ones are the Nephilim, Anakim, Amorites and Enim (answersingenesis). The Nephilim has attracted the most attention as there are claims that they are children of fallen angels and men (answersingenesis). Though the bible does not state the heights of this tribe they are regarded as giants because the translation of Nephilim from Hebrew is ‘giant’ ( Also, they were described as “mighty men of old” ( The Rephaim are another tribe of giants that is mentioned in the bible. Like the Nephilims, Rephaim is another translated word that means giant or may just be a term referring to a specific group of people( However, there is more detail about a member of the tribe, Og king of Bashan, whose bed was described to be “nine cubits in length and four cubits width, about 13.5 feet (anwersingenesis).
