Effects of Global Warming Essay

  • Global Warming: The Main Cause And Effects Of Global Warming

Global warming is the gradual rise in temperature of the air and water near the earth 's surface. The average temperature of the earth has risen about 1 degree Celsius over the past 100 years. Even though many people believe they know why this is happening, the exact cause is unknown. It could be caused by human activity; it may be caused by natural events, and probably is caused by a combination of the two. Some believe greenhouse gases caused by human activity are the main reason for global warming. Others believe changes in the earth 's temperature or increases in solar activity are to blame. Still others think recirculating, or feedback effects are the main cause. In this essay, I will argue that whether global warming is caused primarily by humans, what makes us the most concerned is the effect it has on our environment. Rising temperatures mean melting ice and higher sea levels. Increasing heat could also help cause extreme weather like hurricanes, or make difficult living conditions for many species of animals. Warmer temperatures help the agricultural industry by making growing seasons longer. At the same time, it hurts the agricultural industry by making conditions too dry or hot. This is just one example of the ongoing debates on the topic of global warming. There is not a single theory that everyone will agree on. Some think global warming is good for the economy, while others think it 's bad. Some people think it kills humans because…

  • Environmental Effects Of Global Warming

Global warming has been an important issue facing the world because many things are affected by global warming. Deforestation, burning fossil fuels, industry wastes, and greenhouse effect are all caused by global warming. The effects of global warming are an increase in sea level, droughts, storms, extinction of animals, loss of coral reef and increase in temperature. Many governments across the globe are trying to increase the awareness of global warming. Humans play a big role in this issue…

  • Negative Effects Of Global Warming

What is global warming, and how is it affecting the Earth and its inhabitants? Global warming is a term used when describing a small increase in the average temperature of the Earth 's atmosphere and its oceans. Global warming is also sometimes referred to as the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect is the absorption of energy radiated from the Earth 's surface by carbon dioxide and other gases in the atmosphere. This causes the atmosphere to become warmer. The greenhouse effect is what is…

  • Essay On The Effects Of Global Warming

Global warming is a stealthy reality of our society that can deplete our planet. This reality creates a slow and steady increase in the earth 's temperature. It affects our everyday life and while many in our society have acknowledged that and attempt to restore the destruction by going "green," there are plenty of alternatives to pollution creating toxins that harm the ozone layer. This ozone layer is destructed by the buildup of atmospheric carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases, which in turn…

  • Greenhouse Effects Of Global Warming

My project is in proving that carbon dioxide reaches a higher temperature than normal air does. I wanted to study this subject to prove that global warming is indeed happening, because I am highly concerned for our planet’s future, and I hope to prove in this project that carbon dioxide can indeed cause the greenhouse effect. Greenhouse Gasses: Greenhouse gases are gases that trap heat in the Earth’s atmosphere, causing the greenhouse effect. According to A Student’s Guide to Climate Change, the…

  • The Positive Effects Of Global Warming

What is Global Warming? Many feel as if it is a natural phenomenon that the Earth cycles through. They are terribly mistaken. It is the effect green house gasses that are emitted by many of the machines we use today. These gasses are getting trapped in the earths atmosphere, causing the temperature to rise. The effects of global warming are all around us and are becoming more prominent. This climate change is a serious threat that needs to be addressed. The sea levels are rising, food shortages…

  • The Threating Effects Of Global Warming

One effect of global warming is the increase in sea levels. The increase in the levels are scarier than what the leading climate models predict. Unfortunately, these models do not account for the sheer velocity of the breakup of ice sheets and glaciers, NASA scientists confirmed. What 's more, the sea level rise is already occurring. The open question, the NASA scientists ponder, is just how fast the seas will rise in the future. The warming of the seas and the expansion of the waters make up…

  • Greenhouse Effect Of Global Warming

this is caused by something called the greenhouse effect which is the trapping of sun’s warmth due to a thick layer of gases that is formed at the surface of the earth. The greenhouse effect will raise the temperature and thus the ice will melt. So what we as humans should do to prevent the melting of ice and to save our planet? Some of the major and easiest solutions for this crisis are quiet simple to be written on a paper, but the challenging part is how we should collaborate to begin with a…

Current Knowledge on the Problem Nowadays, people use fuel as a source of energy which helps them improve their economic well-being and living status. However, its usage has come with a cost because its burning and continued popularity is a major factor contributing to global warming (IPPC). It also has a negative impact on the economy. In its composition, only 565 gigatons out of 2765 of carbon dioxide contained in the fossils is burnt before its negative effects on the globe turn irreversible…

  • Cause And Effect Of Global Warming

An increase in the earth’s average temperature is called global warming. It is an adaptation that is believed to be permanently changing the earth 's climate. Many scientists are trying to prove that how and why there is an increase in the earth’s temperature. Many greenhouse gases, and other human activities are considered to be the foremost cause of global warming. It is really clear that we are not taking a good care of our nature, on which we are dependent. From food, water and even the air…
