A world academic has taken the world by storm. Many don’t believe in such phenomenon because of the possibility of such happening. This very phenomenon is known as global warming. What global warming is known for is the high rise of the average temperature from the past centuries. Earth is known for minor climate changes. For example, the season winter it gets colder compared to summer. How scientists determine past climates is by looking into the tree’s rings, ocean sediments, and etc. (Riebeek). Every phenomenon has their affects towards society along with their causes. We live in a world that is constantly changing for the good, but could have a negative side effect. Electricity and technology is currently running the world, but over powered …show more content…
The inflicted cause on global warming is affecting the ecosystem. The ecosystem involves every living creature, including humans. For a whole ecosystem to run smoothly every living being has to contribute to the system, just like a job. If one portion of the ecosystem fails to do its job, the whole system fails. Riebeek, the NASA science writer mentions how photosynthesis in plants is becoming saturated with carbon because of the carbon increase on earth. If plants start to die off because of the saturation, a whole chain of reactions will occur, like dominos. First there would be animals in general because of lack of plants. Following that human would have a hard time getting the necessary foods to survive. All in all, the ecosystem would be destroyed including humans because of global …show more content…
The seasons throughout the world will started earlier and could possibly last longer than normal. Which might not seem like the worst thing ever, but it is for many. Farmers have to careful watch the weather to fulfill crops needs, meaning not over watering or creating a drought for the crops. Along with that, certain crops grow successful in certain seasons. The unusual changes in the climate will affect the crops and cause problems for farmers to product the needed crops for society. Riebeek predicts the location of where people will be affected more, “Hardest hit will be those living in low-lying coastal areas, and residents of poorer countries who do not have the resources to adapt to changes in temperature extremes and water resources.” Riebeek makes a great point on who will be affected more. Lower income societies will have a hard time cumulating the right resources to adapt to the current climate changes. Along with that point, tropical places could expand and could spread infectious diseases to further locations (Riebeek). The changes in the weather around the world could damage many

Reduced yields can decline the productivity of crops and livestock. Overall, climate change will make it more difficult to grow crops, raise animals, and catch fish in the same ways and same places as we have done in the past (EPA 2016). In addition to food production, climate changes impacts human health. Air pollution leads to asthma and cardiovascular disease. Severe weather causes injuries, fatalities, and mental health impacts.…

The environment throughout the planet has been changing drastically. In his book An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore wrote that Antarctica and The Arctic are affected the most because they are on the top and the bottom of the Earth. The Arctic ice cap keeps the earth cool. The planet is at an increased temperature which has caused the ice cap to thin and melt at a rapid rate. As Al Gore later states, when sun hits the ice it usually reflects it like a giant mirror but with global warming the sun shines on open water causing the ice cap to melt.…

The study of the earth and how it works allows scientists to develop new ways to try to save the Earth. While many debate the existence of climate change, it is a very real thing causing harm to our planet. The use of fossil fuels, and the development of new alternative energy sources could be the solution. Climate Change One of the biggest factors changing our earth is global warming.…

The production of food, especially in agriculture is largely dependent on factors such as sunshine, and temperature. Climate change is a large contributor towards extreme weather patterns such as droughts and floods. Such natural disasters destroy agriculture, making it more difficult to produce crops for farmers. This is significant as agricultural farming becomes more problematic and expensive to produce food. As a result, farmers increase the prices of food which can harm people who earn a lower income and may not be able to afford to consume as much food.…

Alejandro Vieyra Mr. Moody English 4 5 December 2016 Climate Change Must Stop Climate change is the changing of weather patterns in regions all around the world. The primary cause of climate change is the appreciable amount of fossil fuel emissions that humans are sending into the atmosphere. These emissions consist of carbon dioxide that ultimately retain more heat in our atmosphere than needed, thus elevating the temperature everywhere around the globe and damaging ecosystems greatly. Many people, including politicians and scientists, believe that climate change is simply a hoax. Although some prefer to believe that climate change is fake and we have nothing to worry about, there are concrete facts that prove these individuals wrong.…
