A world academic has taken the world by storm. Many don’t believe in such phenomenon because of the possibility of such happening. This very phenomenon is known as global warming. What global warming is known for is the high rise of the average temperature from the past centuries. Earth is known for minor climate changes. For example, the season winter it gets colder compared to summer. How scientists determine past climates is by looking into the tree’s rings, ocean sediments, and etc. (Riebeek). The inflicted cause on global warming is affecting the ecosystem. The ecosystem involves every living creature, including humans. For a whole ecosystem to run smoothly every living being has to contribute to the system, just like a job. If one portion of the ecosystem fails to do its job, the whole system fails. Riebeek, the NASA science writer mentions how photosynthesis in plants is becoming saturated with carbon because of the carbon increase on earth. If plants start to die off because of the saturation, a whole chain of reactions will occur, like dominos. First there would be animals in general because of lack of plants. The seasons throughout the world will started earlier and could possibly last longer than normal. Which might not seem like the worst thing ever, but it is for many. Farmers have to careful watch the weather to fulfill crops needs, meaning not over watering or creating a drought for the crops. Along with that, certain crops grow successful in certain seasons. The unusual changes in the climate will affect the crops and cause problems for farmers to product the needed crops for society.
