When I read about Chris Mintz (the Army veteran who acted heroically to save others and was shot seven times), I contacted him on Facebook and asked if I could have my…

Reeves once said,“A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.” We all have a different definition of a “hero”, yet there are so many variations. Usually, our mind darts to “superheroes” like Wonder Woman and Iron Man, but true heroes are significantly more. They don’t wear capes or armor, but are uniquely draped in compassion and tenderness. My hero- my mother - has the armor of the Bible bound around her body and rises…

classes were an easy A+ and so I never took writing that seriously. As a writer I have my strengths and weaknesses, but I do not feel as confident in my strengths as I do my weaknesses. I think I am good with grammar and mechanics, but when it comes to time management or organization then forget it. I usually struggled with writing projects in high school, mostly due to my lack of interest and my great ability to avoid writing assignments until the very last minute. My college experience so…
