    Mother Teresa, better known as a caring risk taker, inspires the world. Mother Teresa is a women who grew up in a small village with big dreams and a generous heart. She first became a nun at the age of 17. First, she was a school teacher, but then realized her true calling was to help the less fortunate in the slums. Mother Teresa started her own religious order called the Missionaries of Charity. She was also awarded many awards including the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. Mother Teresa then passed away peacefully on September 5, 1997. After her passing she was then recognized as a saint.
