My Superman is not as strong, but just as caring, he's my dad. Unlike other heroes my dad teaches me and helps me get better. What makes my dad a hero is that he is protective, humorous, and challenges me.
My dad has been protective of just not me but of my sister and my mom. He has gone out of his was to make sure we are safe. One example of this was my sophomore year. My parents took me down to Virginia to go to my boyfriend's senior prom. While I was at the dance my mom told me that my dad was checking the app he has with our family's location on it, since he didn't know the area, to make sure I was where I was supposed to be at. Later that nigh, after the After Prom, me and my boyfriend got into a car accident not far from the hotel my parents where staying at. It was 1:00 in the morning and I called my dad. He came over to the accident and helped me fill out the paper the office gave me. I never left my dad's side that night, I felt so safe with my dad there, and a hero is someone that keeps you safe not matter what time it is. My dad makes me laugh all the time. Most of the laughs is because of a offensive remark that normally lead to him being slapped by mom. An example of this would be one night shortly after they got me my car. My dad was sitting in my Beetle with the convertible top down, in the garage. He had his phone plugged into the radio with a charging cord. While dad is in my car the rest of us where inside, but out of no where we hear "Baby Got Back" by Sir-Mix-A lot booming from the garage. We opened the door and there is my dad grinning ear to ear while the song played. That moment made me smile, and still does make me smile. That's how humor makes my dad my
