Throughout Mother Teresa's life time, she has helped and touched the hearts of many. Mother Teresa spent her days working and living in the slum with the poor. In the book, A Revolution of Love: the Meaning of Mother Teresa, the author, David Scott, tells the readers how Mother Teresa started off helping the poor: ¨She was in voluntary poverty for the poor, and to live as an imitation of Jesus¨ (Scott 107). Mother Teresa gave up her life and devoted herself to the poor. Mother Teresa wanted to live and help the poor just as Jesus has once done many years ago. This shows humility because she gave up her money and lifestyle to help the less fortunate. Another instance where she shows humility is when she left the convent to go work with the poor. When Mother Teresa went to help the poor she “owned only a sari, a pair of sandals, some undergarments, a crucifix they pinned on her habit, a rosary, a prayer book, a silver bucket for washing, and a thin bed¨ (Scott 82). This shows humility because she gave up all her belongings and kept only a few things to go to live in the slums with the poor. Mother Teresa felt that she didn't have time or money to own any other belongings, nor did she want to. Mother Teresa didn't view herself as one of her priorities. She only viewed living and serving to the less fortunate as her priority. Due to Mother Teresa’s actions, she is an epic

A Collision of Two Stories “A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to preserve and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles,” said Christopher Reeve, an American actor and author. Whenever readers think of heroes, the first thought that comes to mind is their success: defeated the monster, rescued the princess, or happiness at the end of their story. The journey, however, is hardly ever thought of because why does it even matter if the heroes reached their desired goals in the end?
