    It was pretty normal to see a missing persons' report in the local newspaper. People seemed to go missing every once a month in the town of Terre Mortes. Nobody seemed to know what the hell happened to them after they went missing, because no one ever came back. Almost every day the police ran up and down the roads attempting to find just a hint of evidence. They never found any of course. Honestly, whoever took the people must have been amazing at hiding anything and everything. The whole town had been keeping indoors because of all the missing people. All they could think about was "What if I was next?". And with that most shops went out of business except the local market and bank. Everything was either bought online or forgotten about. Some people even moved away to another state. School seemed to be out a lot, which resulted in more trouble around the town. That means Emma's little brother was out making trouble when she was out doing Nightly College courses in the next town over. Every night after Emma got home from school her and her little brother, Kolton, sat down at the table and talked. They talked about anything that came to mind. School, art, love, anything and everything. It was something they did with their mother before she died an untimely death.
