    "The doom of all who harmed them was certain" (310). Before I started high school and learned how to drive, every day after finishing homework I would go to my neighborhood store to shop for confectionary and school supplies. Preparing to travel to the store, I checked the outside weather and it appeared like a bright and sunny day, until I got onto my bike. When I rode my bike for thirty minutes, the weather immediately turned from bright to gloomy; the gloom encompassed itself with heavy rain and wind, and I knew it was going to become a perilous journey to go back home. Similarly to Odysseus, I had to find a way for advice; only my safeguard came from a covered parking lot area, warding off the “ghosts” of wind and rain. The words "doom of all" could not have applied even better than my current situation; I felt that I had no path to escape, and could not have asked my parents to pick me up from the store since they were at work. Sadly, my I knew that this game of suffering is not a choice; rather, this is an exercise in survival that I am rapidly losing. One hour later, I attempted to ride my bike home, even though the storm allowed thunderbolts to form and also allowed the rain to fall continually without stopping. When I was about five minutes away from the store, my bicycle wheels skid through braking too hard to stop in a tree branch and I ultimately fell on the bicycle lane, without assistance for my injuries or despair.
