A hero can be classified by many things. A hero can be superman, a police officer, and even your mom, but what makes a hero? Is it someone who can fly or shoot laser beams from their eyes or someone who saves a baby from a burning building? I’ll admit some of these characteristics are far-fetched since I don’t know anyone who can fly or randomly saves babies on a normal day. All heroes, including super ones, all have something in common, they're admired for their courage or an outstanding thing they’ve done. That’s what makes a hero a role model to others and their courage most likely leads to heroic deeds whether big or small. The question here is whether Gilgamesh is considered to be a hero. We already know Gilgamesh is an epic hero, but does he have the qualities that a hero does? In my opinion Gilgamesh is not a hero as he does not demonstrate the qualities that hero possess, unlike Rosa Parks who is clear example of a hero. Hero, as stated above, is someone who is admired for their courage and from this courage heroic deeds come of it. Most likely they are considered to be a role model. The person in question is Gilgamesh, is he a hero. Gilgamesh is strong as stated in “The Epic of Gilgamesh” “no king or man ever equaled” “he was lordly in appearance and strongly to perfection” from that we can guess he is perfect,as he is two-thirds god. But being strong doesn’t necessarily mean Gilgamesh has courage. During the Epic, in fact, there were times where Gilgamesh…

or the best-fitting mental picture of a criminal? What comes to mind is due to the coding in a culture, or a rule-governed system of signs which are shared and used to generate and circulate meanings in and for that culture. Codes are used in order to convey meanings that constitute our cultural world, many of which are seen through television, films and other forms of media. Introduction My storyboard was presented to ten people who have all lived in an apartment at one point in their lives. I received very little negative feedback and have been given new ideas on how to improve the design. Current products on the market that can unlock doors from a consumer smart phone require structural modification to the door or surrounding areas. Some other products require specific kinds of deadbolts. If a tenant does not have the specific kind of deadbolt or does not have a…

Author's Note: Hello, how was your day? Hopefully it was just as amazing as you'd planned and not totally awkward like the day Phoenix was having in that prologue. By the way, this first chapter takes off a week after the starting prologue, anyway I'll continue on with the story and not my author note, from me. :) "So..." Maverick starts as I sit at the breakfast table. It was Monday morning, the dreaded day I had been trying to ignore. I was going back to my small town high school, the one…

that would focus on someone or something involving a lock and a key while expressing an emotion. This project wasn’t a solo project, but instead involved working with one other person. The lock and key could be metaphoric or literal and from that concept we had to tell a story in twelve to fifteen shots. Our idea was to convey a young musician finding the right “key” on his guitar and “unlock” the excitement (which was our assigned emotion) inside of him. I believe the project turned out…
