For me it’s Persian food, I really like it, because they know how to make the best kebabs in the world. In my experience with Persian restaurants, I can tell you that they are the best with this kind of food. Kebab is actually a small meat and you can use any kind of meat to make it. Kebab is an old dish that goes way back in history, the hunters will kill an animal and they cut the meat to tiny pieces. After that they will cook the meat over an open fire. Therefore, I choose a Persian restaurant to review which called “PersianRoom” it’s located in Scottsdale, AZ and is about a 20-minute drive from where I live in Tempe. PersianRoom is an old restaurant in AZ, they first opened in 1985. They have a large menu to choose from, I started with Hummus which is a dip made of garbanzo beans, tahini sauce, olive oil, garlic and fresh lemon juice. It is a delicious appetizer to start with. The main course was Kebab with rice, which is the best dish that they have there. I’ve been to a lot of restaurants in my life. I had some bad, good and great experience. What I mean by great that I’m willing to pay more for this restaurant quality. I hate bad experience, but without them we wouldn’t learn. And I’m not going to a restaurant that I had a bad experience with. If you want to review a restaurant, you must have a criteria to follow. Some restaurant have different type of criteria, so you can’t compare a five star restaurant with a two stars restaurant. For this review my criteria will be…

Creamy Zucchini Hummus Flavors, Textures, Visual Appeal, and Presentation The Creamy Zucchini Hummus turned out quite smooth, despite my makeshift food processor. I really enjoyed the taste and knowing that it did not use any beans like traditional hummus. It is also nice that this is a veggie-centric dip. It made the perfect complement to the Sesame Orange Crisps. Modifications I followed the recipe as instructed, except I added a full clove of garlic for that extra kick. Cooking Process…

“Organic Spinach and Edamame Hummus” is a product that one can easily find in a store in the United States, which goes to show how much food can evolve from its original form while globalizing. In America, hummus is often vaguely referred to “Mediterranean” food, which demonstrates how foods that heavily break into the main market are stripped of their ethnic backgrounds, history, and individualization.₃ Both hummus and Israel have evolved and are continuing to evolve, have historical ties, and…

inspired someone to incorporate a new recipe into their reservoir of recipes. I have three examples of such instances. The first one was when I made a white bean hummus. Two women who participated were amazed at the recipe 's simplicity. No equipment like a food processor was needed. The recipe merely called for white beans (canned), some chives, lemon juice, and olive oil. They were combined in a bowl and then mashed. Then it was served with some delicious and refreshing raw vegetables. I had a…

“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.” I disliked this quote, tragically ending “The Great Gatsby.” I had faith in the man who staunchly believed to recover his love affair with Daisy, diligently transformed himself from Gatz to Gatsby, and ceaselessly stared toward the green light. Similarly, I disliked Americanized Chinese foods upon my arrival to the land of American dreams. I loathed the syrupy sweet-and-sour sauce that envelops canned…

People there, even though they lived on rations (at the time) used their imaginations to savour these dishes. They didn’t have to do this for long because eventually the ethnic ingredient started shipping into the English ports. Soon people were able to cook from the cookbook and its ingredients like olive oil, garlic, basil, aubergines, figs, pistachio nuts, garbanzo beans and foods like hummus, ratatoille, paella and gazpacho. Even celebrity chefs here and abroad took advantage of her…

improvised explosives, ambushes, and close proximity of the population. The wars I was in changed me, I often have a hard time relating to people who after high school went to college or got a job. I feel different and like they will never understand what it was like. People never understand my crude jokes and look at me like I am crazy because I use vulgar language. A lot of people act like they have horse blinders on and only focus on themselves. I always have my head on a swivel and am…
