The Creamy Zucchini Hummus turned out quite smooth, despite my makeshift food processor. I really enjoyed the taste and knowing that it did not use any beans like traditional hummus. It is also nice that this is a veggie-centric dip. It made the perfect complement to the Sesame Orange Crisps.
Modifications
I followed the recipe as instructed, except I added a full clove of garlic for that extra kick.
Cooking Process
This was another easy-to-follow recipe. I cannot think of any changes I would make in the future and look forward to making it again once zucchini comes back into season. Although, I will probably try making with a winter squash or pumpkin to see what happens.

I could not taste the orange since the caraway seeds seemed to cancel that out. Although the dough was a little tricky to roll out, especially after multiple times, the heart shape made it fun and easier to work with than some other cookie cutters.
Modifications
I followed the recipe as instructed; however, I had to place the dough into the refrigerator and run to the store for more parchment paper. I think this helped with the rolling out process.
Cooking Process
I admit that I totally messed up the recipe the first time I tried it. I accidently forgot to grind the flax seeds, so I remade it following the directions. Also, I found out that there is a fine line between crispy and burnt. However, I found that the crisps lost their crispiness when I stored them, so I put them back in the oven for a few minutes to refresh. Next time, I would use less caraway seeds since they overpowered the other flavors, especially the delicate orange.
