    will not end the crime or stop it from occurring, but it represents a strong first step in lowering the rates down, so that then congress could decide what the next logical step in the equation. By doing this it would also not raise the crime rates due to people owning a firearm that suddenly became illegal. Which would surface as an economical improvement that a total ban would not achieve. With the awareness of violent crimes on the rise, many have started to look to the media and politicians for support and help in trying to end these issues. People on Capital Hill stating that gun control ensures the only solution, tend to act as a radical biased on their actions. Senator Dianne Feinstein went live on a T.V. interview with Wolf Blitzer. In the interview they address an issue headed by Senator Feinstein, the bill that she attempted to pass through congress would effectively outlaw 185 different guns and places limitations on thousands more (Interview with Senator). If a bill like this passed through congress it would have banned automatic weapons. Crime rates tend to show that those are not the issue; the weapons that need to stay limited appear as handguns. Handguns tend to see use the most violent crimes, and many presume to regard as the easiest to obtain. Later on Wolf Blitzer comments about how the senator has made some enemies in the senate by trying to push a bill as drastic as this through congress.
