    Paul Mezanne Analysis

For the assessment of meaning and interpretation I chose to discuss about Paul Cezanne, Grand Bainuses, 1895-1906, oil on canvas, 52 x 81 inches, The Barnes Foundation, Marion, PA. I will be discussing what the painting portrays, the materials used for the painting, the form and context of the painting. I will also be discussing the coherence, correspondence, and completeness of the painting. The painting of Paul Cezanne subject matter portrays nudity, all the men and women in the oil painting are nude. I can tell the gender of the people in the painting by the breast’s. They are emphasized with more rounded chest area than the one man who is on his knee with short hair, and the woman’s have the longer hair. The man and women are not completely nude, as they have a small white cloth that covers their private area from the waist down. The nudity aspect of the painting can portray purity within themselves. Their is no discomfort with their body…

For my Art History Museum paper I chose to visit the Chazen museum here in Madison to observe a piece of artwork that I wanted to furthermore dig into. As I walked through the museum, the artwork appeared to be very organized in each area. On the second floor, the painting that really caught my eyes was one done in 1880. The artwork is an oil painting created on canvas with an old man and a little child in it. The painting was, In Grandfather’s Arms, by the artist Jozef Israëls. The painting…

Context: Proposed this approach as a response to my previous training. Very hit and run. Fast , fast, fast and overwhelming. Lots of information in a short amount of time without much time to get hands on and slow down and review steps and resources or to practice. Also wanted to experience the platform from both student and instructor perspectives. I am by no means an expert. Some of you probably know more than I do about Canvas. And I know for a fact that some of the other canvas presenters…

Germans, Picasso was asked if he “did that” by a Nazi officer, who was pointing at a photograph of Guernica, whom Picasso then countered, “no, you did”. By its history, Guernica has great significance. Especially, because this public critique of the Spanish Nationalist regime and the German Nazis was highly political and a loud scream for change and self-reflection in the regimes. Furthermore, it was not common until after the second world war for artists to get involved in political affairs…

Painting the Canvas of the Psyche “I can resist everything but temptation” (Oscar Wilde). Temptation and influences exist all around an individual and it is up to them to choose what can or cannot be of effect. The strength to resist this temptation and influence stems from one’s mental state; the human psyche is similar to a blank canvas. Like the canvas, external and internal forces are what cause changes in a person. As these forces influence an individual their mind is distorted and their…

Canvas Tents: These are generally also called cabin tents, for the reason that these are so big and sturdy you could almost do a comparison into a cabin house. They offercomfort and space, and protection like hardly any other tent could, due to its size and bulk. But that by itself is actually a downside, because it's hard to lug around with you a tent that big, even if they are collapsed. They're also harder to put together. Here is the kind of tent made use of by the military and are normally…
