Renewable Energy Sources At the beginning of the 21st century, mankind started using new technologies in order to harvest energy from environmental sources other than fossil fuels and natural gases. These environmental energy sources include solar, wind, water, biomass, and geothermal. These sources are more commonly known as renewable energy sources. Renewable energy is a theoretically inexhaustible energy source. It is an energy source that is not depleted when used. A good way to look at a renewable energy source is like a battery that is constantly recharging itself. Renewable energy is produced from a green source, meaning products that were not created by organic effort and are a natural source. Green sources are also naturally replenished sources without human efforts such as the sunlight, the wind, or tides. The main purpose for the use and creation of these new energy sources was because we wanted to find a way to get energy for our everyday lives and needs without it hurting the environment through pollution or unnatural environmental changes like mining for coal. After finding out that our fossil fuels and natural gases were limited, we wanted to find a way to get energy after those sources have run out. We wanted to find an easier and faster way to create energy for ourselves. There are many different types of renewable energy sources such as solar, the wind, and geothermal. All which are healthy for the environment and are a benefit our economy. One of the…
