Watch out She gets Car Sick

In 6th grade we went on a huge field trip, by bus to Washington D.C. Everyone had to fundraise or pay $600 to go on the trip. On the day we left everyone was super excited to get on the road not knowing how bad we’d want to get off in a couple hours. We had to be at the school at around 10:30 in the morning and the motor coach didn’t come till 11. Luckily, we didn’t have to go to classes before. While everyone called their seat buddies for the bus ride the adults handed out the red hats, landyerds, and backpacks that everyone hated. Before we left of course, every chaperon had to get group pictures and individual pictures. By the time all that was over, it was time to say goodbye and get on the road. After all the hugs, we boarded the bus and were sent off with all the parents waving goodbye. On our way everyone was buzzing with excitement to get there. Some people were sleeping right away

We had to pack and then get checked out of the hotel. I had to take a lot of medical that day cause we were going sightseeing out in the country which was the worst for me when it came to car sickness. First we toured the capital then we were off to Gettysburg, PA. I really liked Gettysburg especially the Cyclorama & film. We got a guided tour of the Gettysburg battle field and got to see a re-enactment. The gift shop there was probably one of my favorite parts, it had so many things to buy and I had saved my money. I bought souvenirs for my family and myself, including a 2 knifes. If we bought laser pointers, tasers, or knifes we had to give it to Mrs. reigel. After that it was time to go home and trust me I was ready to leave. On the way back before my sleepy medicine started to kick in we talked about how if we ever went back, we”d go one day and have a way better time. Then it was lights out for me until we stopped at gas stations and got

On a beautiful clear morning of February the 19th, my mom picked me up from my class at the University of West Georgia, then we went to Waffle House to have a nice breakfast. We left from Waffle House, proceeding down Maple Street, and turned onto South Street and immediately onto Kenner Street. We then turned onto on the merging lane on South Park Street (US Hwy 27) heading south, we immediately halted to a full stop as vehicles moved from the middle lane into the merging lane in front of us, but at that time there were no vehicles behind us. As we waited to enter traffic, a car suddenly struck us from behind which caused the car to jerk violently forward, causing my mother’s chest to hit the steering wheel, and our heads and bodies to whip forward and then back.…

I should be used to the fact that my luck with cars has been passed down to me from my dad. We have had horrible luck with vehicles! I am kind of wondering when this run of bad vehicles will end for me? My recent vehicle has been in and out of the shop since I bought it a year and a half ago, so have not owned it for too long and it already gives me a headache when I think about it. I got the car all on my own…

Melanie, Violet, Summer, Mark, Travis, Justin and myself, America, have been friends since freshmen year at Guelph University in Guelph Ontario, Canada. Every year we promised each other that we’d go away for reading week, but as the years went on none of us had the time or energy or money to go anywhere, we all just wanted to stay local, and sleep in the comfort of our hometown, Guelph. As senior year was approaching and the thought of all of us going our separate ways, we decided that we’d go to Montreal for the week, the number one party city in Canada since the lifestyle is very easygoing and carefree especially among the young crowd. I wasn’t that much of a partier but I figured it would be a good way to de-stress and just enjoy being 23 without having my head stuffed into a book.…

When I was about six years old, my friends who were about 12 or 13 at the time invited me to the baseball field. The one bad part was that to get to the baseball field we had to cross a major road to get there, but at least there was a light. My parents told me I could only go if we were being driven, but I went anyway. It was scary crossing the street, mostly because we did not cross at the crosswalk. We were too lazy to walk down the neighborhood and cross at the light.…

Throughout my life as a student, it has always been difficult for me to understand why it is so important to do well in school, until one day when my parents thought of the idea to start rewarding me in exchange for good grades. I caught on quickly to the idea of making exceptional grades for the things that I desire. A prime example is my 870 Remington, 12-gauge shotgun that I received for earning an “A” on my Social Studies midterm. This was no ordinary shotgun. These specific shotguns were handcrafted and customized to fit young boys like myself at the time.…
