Every summer as kids me and my family would go to Mexico for a month. We would drive for about 3 days. My dad always wanted to buy an RV. But cannot afford one, so instead he bought a stripped down van. He built a bed using plywood and foam for the three of us. Even though it was a long and tiresome trip, we would enjoy looking at the small towns in different states we drove by. As we got closer to the dreaded mountain called the ‘La Rumorosa’ my stomach would knot up because I knew what was coming. The road though La rumorosa has a road with a steep incline, winding road with sharp turns and one lane for each direction. If you passed a slow moving vehicle it was done at your own risk. Of Course my father was a fan of doing this, and I would hold my breathe every time he did. My fear was falling of that mountain. My fears were reinforced by the fact that there were plenty of vehicles that had already fallen and you could see the carcass of past accidents, the view, and the driver. …show more content…
