Senior Trip to Washington D.C. For my school, the senior class gets together and travels to Washington D.C. for three days. We left early Wednesday morning and rode in a charter bus down to D.C. and as soon as we get to there we start touring. We would tour the whole first day then go to a fancy restaurant that night. The next two days were, wake up, go to breakfast, then tour all day. The night of the third day we started the long drive home. The senior class from my old high school gets together and travels to Washington D.C. in the winter to tour the monuments and museums. Our graduating class was very close which made the experience even better. Senior year was by far my favorite year of high school. My classes were not challenging, we …show more content…
I got to room with the best friends anyone could ask for and had the best teachers as monitors for our hall. For the actual trip, it was an experience that I will never forget. We got to witness many different museums and monuments. The Lincoln Memorial was our first stop. Pictures do not do this memorial justice. It was truly remarkable seeing the brilliant quotes said by this man engraved in the wall. The Holocaust museum was a shocking sight. We each got a card about information about someone from the Holocaust. At the end of the tour we got to look up, if they made it out alive or not and it was so depressing because they were mostly little boys and girls. Everything about the Holocaust museum was remarkable though, especially hearing story from actual survivors. After the holocaust museum it was time for dinner. We went to a nice, old fashioned italian restaurant. It had some of the best food I have ever had and the best chocolate chip cookies. The Arlington Cemetery was by far my favorite place that we got to visit. Being able to pay respects to that many brave soldiers who gave their lives was just remarkable. The eternal flame was another sight that was unforgettable. The changing of the guard at the Tomb of the

When I visited George Washington my sophomore year of high school, I instantly knew that your school is where I wanted to go for college. It just wasn't like any of the other colleges that I had seen before, and for that matter it was unlike any I have seen since. I saw that GW is in a beautiful location and that its presence in the capitol greatly enhances both its value and the city’s around it. I really liked walking around the campus, as it was extremely vibrant. I saw that safety is also important, and the combination of security that holds jurisdiction in this area is extremely reassuring.…

My most positive high school experience for me has to be when I was inducted into National Honor Society for my senior year. This was something that I has been striving to do since my freshman year after I received my first academic letter. But after our school decided to only allow seniors to be inducted, raised the GPA requirement, and reduced the amount of people that would be allowed to be inducted I wasn’t sure if my goal would still be attainable. But after three years of strenuous classes, constant volunteer service, and keeping my grades up I finally received an acceptance letter and was inducted into NHS where I am able to surround myself with others that have the same academic goals as…

The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, and The Holocaust Memorial Museum are a few of the most well know memorials. My favorite memorial is the Marine Corps Memorial, also known as the Iwo Jima Memorial. This historic memorial was sculpted based off of a picture taken by Joe Rosenthal who was at the island of Iwo Jima with the Associated Press.…

We checked out some of the shops and had lunch at a place called the Chocolate Emporium. It was really cool and most everything was made from chocolate. I read your email about the 100th day and I have to say that I really do not understand and can’t pretend as if I do. We were on the road for hours riding in circles, to get to our destination, but it was the one night my friends and I will never forget. It was Saturday August 29, 2015 and I was in Washington D.C. with my three friends: Leia, Kerien, and Breanna. We stayed at the Hostel Hotel downtown on 11th street. We stayed there for three nights and four days. The scary part for us when we were in the lobby and we found out what a Hostel hotel was, we then heard that the rooms were dormitory style with bunk beds, for example if there were 4 of us in a room and we had a total of 6 beds, this meant that 2 strangers could stay in our room.…

I arrived at a motel and rented a room then set out to the museum where they are showing a free broadcast of jurassic world 10, best movie of 2063. The museum was large very large to the point where it dwarfs the entire national airport.…
