If college is “free” people will be paying that $70 billion through taxes and eventually those who are in college now wishing it was free will have to pay for it too in the future. Whether or not free college is a good idea is not the point, it is that this may be part of the reason the Democratic Party is divided when it comes to Sanders by age.
