    Do you listen to your parents? Most teens don 't follow their parents directions, teens think parents don 't know what they 're talking about or they 're not “fun”, so they do whatever they want. That 's what I did and it didn 't end well. It was 4 years ago on a hot summer day. I was outside playing basketball with my little brother when my grandpa came outside and asked me, “Do you want to go to the lake?” I replied, “Sure, but I can 't swim that good.” He exclaimed, “You can wear one of my life jackets.” I agreed and ran in the house as fast as I could to get dressed and make some food to bring. It was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, some Doritos and a root beer . When I 'm finished making my food I put it in the cooler and get In the truck, after what seemed like forever I read a sign that says Lake Michigan. Finally we had arrived. At first we had trouble getting the boat in the water but we finally got it. Before we started moving my grandpa gave me a whole speech on how I need to keep my life jacket on, so I put it on and sit down. He starts telling me about the boat and how it 's his favorite boat and he spent $12,000 on it. It was a nice boat, black, blue and white with a top speed of 120mph, Before we get to the lake there 's a boat section we need to do threw so, It takes a while to get to actually get to the lake but when we do he lets me steer the boat for a while.
