    She mostly spent her time at a charity hospital. On Sunday she would visit her pupils at home on her day off. Mother Teresa has been a headmistress for nine years. Once a year she would go back to Darjeeling, where she would go to a religious home and would rest and pray. In September 10, 1946 they would celebrate “Inspirated Day” as a result of her ordinary but momentous journey on the olate. When she came back to Calcutta, she spoke to Archbishop Perier, the head of a catholic church. The Archbishop listened to the new Idea for an order of nuns to work among the poor. It took a year for the Archbishop to decide to bless the venture and ask Rome for permission for their plan. Mother Teresa herself had to write the head of Loreto Order in Ireland for permission to leave its ranks. The permission was approved and the Pope in Rome gave his blessings for her plan. On August 16, 1948, a year after India became an Independent country; Mother Teresa made her own declaration of Independence and left so that she could do her plan to help the poor. First she travelled to Patria. She helped out in hospitals and clinics for many years.
