I didn't know how to tie my laces for a long time. I tried all the methods people showed me; spinning the laces which are snakes, into loops and tie them to make a knot, and tying a lace around a loop to create a knot. No matter which method I tried I would never succeed. Whenever I tried to tie my laces I would tuck my laces into my shoes because when I tried to tie shoes I had with laces on them, the laces would always come apart, and I ended up just sitting there like a rock. One method I used to use to tie my laces was to spin the laces around each other once and tie them multiple times, but the laces quickly came apart. My mom decided to change that I didn't know how to tie my laces. She told me to go to the front door and practice tying…

checked the snapchat that had caused this and told that person that their outfit was absolutely adorable. After I got ready for the day, I walked downstairs to talk to my mom. “You look nice today,” is the first thing she says. I mumbled a response that is barely heard. There, that should shut her up for a while; I decided against the apple and quickly ate a plate of pancakes as mother went to get Erica so we could leave as soon as I’m finished. The car ride to school was a bit more talkative then usual, usually both me and my…

enough so I kept following it until I got to a door I recognized. Beau’s. I opened the door and the second I did arms flung around me. “You’re alive! She didn’t kill you! I never thought I would see you again!” His words were muffled by my hair that he was currently nuzzling very affectionately. I wanted to relish in the affection, but I knew it was wrong. I knew I had to pull away. So I did. “He’s the one you should be with. Just saying.” A voice said behind me. I spun around and saw Freya…

3:58 p.m. I’m sitting on my dark brown, leathered chair, watching an episode of Orange is The New Black, while Mark is walking around the apartment in a hastily manner. As Mark is walking a marathon in here, I notice that our apartment looks peculiarly similar to that of Joey and Chandler’s in the sitcom Friends. We have an entertainment center that takes up at least 27% of the room. We have a 40 inch flat-screen television. We have a foosball table near the kitchen. We even have a portrait of a…

In order to avoid eye contact with people in public situations such as being on a bus, people will often look straight ahead at the back of the bus, towards the ground or even out the window. It is interesting to explore the reasons behind why people find eye…
