Personal Narrative: After School Project

Decent Essays
Fifth grade my teacher's name was Mr.Jennings he was really cool his class was fun I don't think I had a problems learning in his class the only thing I remember doing in his class was the projects and that I made this big project and it was about native americans and this one tribe that I specifically talked about. My project had big poster paper with the state of california drawn on it with a feather of a bird and a page about the tribe, I also remember bringing a bow to show what they used to hunt. My project was so good that they had to cover it up for a test that we were going to take and I was pretty proud of that.
For those 5 years at Fremont Elementary i have been involved in the after school program. I didn't really like the after school program because I didn't want to stay I would just want to go home and ask my brother for help. My mom got me into the program because she would get out of work late and my brother couldn't pick me up because he would take long. Although I lived down the street my mom didn't want me to walk home because all the things you hear on the news, it was to dangerous and didn't want to risk it.

I remember how cool it felt to be able to leave the room without asking to go to the bathroom. I also remember teaching us about why structure was important by dancing on the desks, and kicking books everywhere, and that was an awesome year. Third Grade was when we learned a lot, and we had Ms. Massen. She was a pretty cool teacher, and gave me a lot of good books. Me and Tyler read a lot of Percy Jackson Books that year.…

I became involved with the math club at Spaulding after a friend in my home room suggested I come to a meeting after school. After attending, I realized math club might have been a somewhat misleading name. While we certainly did some math, it wasn’t at all like the math I would do in class. Math club was more focused on the competitive aspect of math. We would do problems to prepare for various competitions in the state.…

Jin and Xavier, of course, are ones of these students. Xavier manages to get themselves two doses of magic mushrooms, which are in high demand at the time, so he can't guarantee the quality.…

My education started when I was just three years old, sitting between my parents on their bed, reading - or at least trying to - the HOP (Hooked On Phonics) books. It was our nightly routine all through Pre-K. By the time that I was in Kindergarten we had worked our way up to the Magic Tree House stories, Junie B. Jones, and The Chronicles of Narnia books, and so many more. My parents made sure that they started to teach me skills that I would need for school at a young age. From reading books every night, to practicing math while calculating carbohydrate counts and insulin dosages for my diabetes, I took in all the knowledge that I could, like a sponge.…
