Decent Essays
Fourth through sixth grade I was the top of the class. I attended Lincoln Elementary and Forest Park Middle School. Elementary for me was easy except learning my multiplication and division facts was a huge struggle. I had many friends fourth and fifth grade year. I was also in a girls scout group called nature girls. After fifth grade was when i realized I was too old for it and dropped it. Nature girls was fun and exciting it brung me closer to a group of different culture girls. We went on hikes, bike rides, swimming, and camping we did everything together. My sixth grade year was not the best for me. It was hard making friends and being outgoing I was still learning to develop and become less immature and more mature all the other kids

From my personal experience, when I was in elementary school I remember my teacher would let us sit on yoga ball it always helped me concentrate and it helped me when I was really active because I could not move around, it will make me fall if I move around. I like the idea of standing desks because I prefer standing a lot but when I need to I could sit down on the tool, but I could still move my legs around and be somewhat active. So if one day you're feeling antsy you can just stand. Also I think if your tired it could help you stay awake. Mark Benden also states that sitting desk can cause kids to be obese, he also says that too much sitting is bad for your health.…

I was still going to school in Truckee when I went to the orientation my school was having their 6th grade orientation as the Incline Middle School was having theirs. Like most people, the third grade was a highly intense time. This was the period in which you had to decipher between wanting to learn how to multiply or learn how to divide first. Or for me the most difficult decision may have been choosing between kickball and tetherball during recess. But I had an issue of seeing adults doing things and if it was simple I would do them too. For me as a child I had what many considered an old sold.…

During the year 2007-2008 I would have begun middle school this was a very drastic change from anything previous in many ways. Skipping over the obvious things like puberty my time in middle school was terrible. I suffered from extreme cases of bullying both physical, and verbal as well as I had a leap from private school to public. This might seem like a huge change but at the time and do to my very naïve mind it was.…

I was afraid to sharpen a pencil in second grade. My most vivid elementary school memories spring from instances when I was being reprimanded by an adult for doing something wrong. I did everything in my power to avoid those dreadful moments, but they still presented themselves on occasion. Even now I feel a pit in my stomach when I recall the way I felt during those times, regardless of the fact that almost all of them would easily roll off my back if they occurred today.…

My experience with bullies started around the fifth grade. I never liked to talk to about my problems, and I went to counselling only on my moms acount but I never liked talking about my feelings because at the end of the day the consular never really did anything to stop bullies, honestly going to the consular showed them I was weak and they were able to get to my feelings, but a hop and a skip ahead to my eighth year after three years of non-stop bullying I found myself at Ridgeview Middle Schools formal (a.k.a Junior High Prom!!!) My thoughts on the formal was, I can’t stand dresses, other students make fun of me because I'm on the heavy side of the scale, but what was I supposed to do, I disliked the fact that dresses existed. Second,…

6th grade. An awkward time for many, even the outgoing. It’s a strange transition going from the safe, closed environment of elementary school, to the imposingly open one of middle school. It was even stranger for me, as I was homeschooled until the 4th grade. My two years at elementary school were spent at two different schools, so I had still yet to fully adjust to school and be comfortable.…

This age is when children gain more independence and social, mental and physical skills form quickly. During this time children also begin to form friendships and relationship with classmates, teachers and bus drivers. Milestones during this age you learn how to dress yourself, ride a bike without training wheels, tying your own shoes, catching a ball, and learning the different subjects in school such as Math and Reading.…

For the first five years of elementary school, I attended the small school located at the back of our church’s property. Enrollment ranged from about 10-15 students in 1st through 8th grade. The last three years of my grade school experience were spent attending Lodi Seventh-day Adventist Elementary. This school went from kindergarten to 8th grade and fed into Lodi Academy, so in all, kindergarten through 12th grade! I came from a small, two-room school, and seeing as I was not very accustomed to being with such a large body of students, suddenly becoming immersed in a class with more students than that of my entire old school was definitely intriguing!…
