This shocking statistic is featured Kirsten Goss’s book Disarmed: The Missing Movement for Gun control.Throughout the years gun control has been a major issue in American politics.It recently gained national attention by the media’s intense coverage of mass shootings. When a mass shooting gains traction in the media the gun control debate is reignited and politicians and special interest groups on both sides voice opinions on the appropriate course of action.” (Cavanaugh).
