If your son decided to do something wrong, like stealing or entering into someone’s house would you like them to shoot him? Most of us would say no, but what if they did? Do you think he deserve to die because of his action? If you are the one who killed him, do you think the person deserve lose his life because of the decision he made? And if you used violence, doesn’t that encourage him to kill in order to escape? I believe banning guns or having a very restrictive laws on them will save more lives than the gun you have in your store or house. If you used your gun against and criminal, he will most likely shoot back. This action of shooting back and forth might cause an innocent person to die by accident. You may also harm innocent people even if no one got shot. For example in the Story Monster, Steve was blamed of a crime that he is most likely didn’t do. When a robber enter your house it’s better to lose some money than putting your and his life in danger. When people steal they have different reasons for why they decided to steal.
