You just dropped your kid off for school around 8 in the morning. You tell your child “I love you” and send him into school. When pulling out of the school parking lot u see a suspicious van pull into the school, you don't do anything and keep going on your way. Then 30 minutes later you get a phone call from the police……. To be continued. America needs stricter gun control laws and background checks because innocent people die and people go on rampages killing people. Many people own guns in the United States. Many people who own those guns should not own a gun. America needs stricter background checks on people who want to own a gun because, There are so many bad people in the world that own a gun and put innocent people at a high risk

Not all people should be able to own guns. That shouldn't own guns but do, kill people that never even did anything. This goes back on how we need better background checks to prevent the people that shouldn't own a gun but still do and are killing innocent people. Innocent people are dying from people that shouldn't own guns.
Lastly but certainly not least, People that own guns go on mass shootings. There have been way too many school shootings. People that are not mentally stable and they own a gun or get their hands on a gun somehow decide to go shoot up a school even though all those kids never did anything. Do you want your kid going to school knowing that your own child could be shot by a person who owns a gun and should not own a gun but the government doesn't have strict enough background checks so you have the worry. Some people who own guns go on a mass shooting spree.
America understands that people say that have the right to the second amendment. They may also say that it's the person not the gun. They might also say that if guns become illegal they will still have the ones they have already bought or they will start to buy them from the Black Market. America understands this but they miss that we are not trying to make guns outlawed we are just trying to make America a safer place. That's why we need stricter background checks to make America a safer place and so moms don't have to worry about their children
