Hanya Holm’s ideology, as well as her movement quality, is woven throughout Gus Giordano’s career and his approach to movement. The men who performed in the group that night were Steve Eisen, John Calo, J.T. Butler, Paul, Daniel Lopez, Doug Davis, and Rick Lincoln. Steve played the trumpet, John played the saxophone, J.T. Music is a fundamental part of my being and has always been in my life. Remembering songs my grandparents sang to me such as “You are my Sunshine” or recalling stories my mother would tell about me, like the time I performed for a whole restaurant at the age of three are alway the first memories to be dug out of my mind.
