I realized that in order for me to start the next chapter in my life I have to quit “re-reading” the last one. Which is why I deleted all my social media accounts. I noticed myself putting more time into face book or Instagram then I did my relationship with you and my family and also my school work. I also knew that if I kept those accounts I would sooner or later ruin my relationship with you because it is way too much drama and also because the first sign of an unhealthy relationship is a sign of it on social media. I was told by someone close to me when a lot of things happened in my life that the right man will love all the things about me that the wrong man was intimidated by. I didn’t believe that at the time but I do now because you have showed me that it’s okay to be myself and that no matter what you’re still going to love me. When I first met you I would have never imagined that I would be with you or that I would want to spend the rest of my life with you. I was completely against any relationship with you until the day we went riding in your ugly jeep and you got out your gum to get a piece and realized you only had one piece left and you offered me that piece before you took it and that may seem stupid and small but it made me like you well that and the fact that you entertained my serial killer idea also the thing at the store helped a lot. All my life my dad told me to find someone completely opposite from me someone whose strengths were my weaknesses and you…

I have to say 2015 was a pretty good year for me. Of course to go along with those good things of course there has to be some that aren’t as wonderful. An example of this would be like when my grandma had to go to the hospital. She had to go because she was becoming very ill since our grandfather had died. She hadn’t been out of her house in a very long time; she hadn’t moved from the couch much rather than to eat, use the restroom, or something had to do something she absolutely needed to do.…

Can someone make you so happy you feel like dancing in the clouds? The song I picked is Clouds by Zach Sobiech. I chose this song, because it says he fell down in a hole, but someone was there to pick him up. This was my year. I had some ups and downs through my 8th grade year, but there were three ways that helped me go through the downs and all the way through the ups. Swimming, friends and family all helped me up through hard times in my 8th grade life. My friends helped make my life…

A queen may be no match to her king, but I am anything but a queen, and I certainly am a match to Benedick, who is clearly no king. Benedick will do my bidding, just as I asked. He is no fool. Should he know what is good for him, he will do what I have asked. No, Benedick is good- I believe that he is trustworthy… Perhaps. Experience suggests otherwise; for I have been incorrect with my assumptions about him before, and yet there is something different this time. He is a changing man; there is…

Here are two magnificent pieces of literature. One is a poem which is called “If-” and the other a memoir, that is called “Kipling and I.” The poem “If-” talks about how you learn to be a better person through life lessons, morals, and endurance. In the memoir “Kipling and I” reflects back on the poem “If-” because this assists or inspires the person to keep going. It is like “Kipling and I” has “If-” inside. Throughout this writing we will be looking at: what Jesus Colon is using from the poem…

At some point in the numerous journeys we embark on, we hit an obstacle and we feel all hope is lost. Sometimes we give up before any progress, and sometimes we give up right before we make it to the finish line, despite putting in so much effort to achieve it. Through Invictus by William Ernest Henley and If by Rudyard Kipling, it is shown that “if you can keep your head”, “yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it”. Both texts insinuate that success comes from commitment and a true sense…
